Hinode

Hinode is born from the collaboration with Edo Kumiko Tatematsu, a Tokyo-based company, expert in the art of Kumiko. This traditional skill involves assembling hundreds of pieces of wood to form an openwork panel.

From the discussions we had together arose the desire to change the usual use of this technique in favor of a decorative and yet functional object. We imagined a series of wall and table mirrors whose motifs evoke abstract, random landscapes, where geometry is synonymous with lightness.
